Summer is right around the corner and applying heat to your hair can get pretty messy. Especially with all the frizz your hair attracts thanks to the summer’s humidity. Don’t worry, Hair DeCoded’s got you covered. We’ve got 3 classic, but really cute and easy heat-free hairstyles you can try out for the summer!
1. The Chic Ponytail
If you’ve got naturally straight hair, you can try the sleek low chic ponytail. Just brush you hair back, and tie it up at the base of your neck. To prevent fly-aways, take a drop of gel and apply it to your hair, making sure you smooth away the little fly-aways.

If you’ve got curly hair, you can try the mid-chic ponytail. Just gather your curls to the center of the back of your head, and tie your curls up leaving you with a sporty, bouncy and carefree look.

2. The Half-Ponytail
This classic hairstyle is perfect for the summer, especially if you love leaving your hair down, but hate when it’s all in your face.
If you’ve got curly hair, you can try taking a quarter of your hair (from the front to the middle of your head) and put it up in a high pony tail, while letting the rest of your curls lay loose under. If you need to take care of your fly-aways, again, just add a drop of gel to slick back those little hairs.

3. Buns
Buns are awesome because if your hair is a mess, dirty or just not coordinating, you can throw your hair up in a bun and avoid dealing with it! And in the summer, a bun is one of the best ways to stay cool! Here are a few really cute bun styles you can try out for the summer!
Donut Bun:
Now, for the donut bun, you can cheat and use a hair donut (you can get one from Claire’s). Here’s the how-to for using the donut bun.
And here’s how a perfect donut bun looks:
Another popular bun style perfect for the summer is the messy bun:
Now, in my opinion, the messy bun is the easiest kind of bun, especially if you have naturally curly hair (I tend to throw my hair up in a messy bun all the time), but if you’re new to the messy bun, here’s a how-to on making the “perfect” messy bun!
