Homecoming Dances are the precursor to prom. These events are represent girls moving into the young women they will become. Most girls love dressing up. Some take dates and others make it girl’s night out. Either way, homecoming gives young ladies practice for dressing up for the prom and it can be quite a big deal. Of course, there are dresses and accessories to buy. The night also calls for a pretty hairstyle make-up and a manicure and pedi. Hair styles for the event have to get teens through a host of events, including the big game and dance. It can be tricky for girls attending schools that schedule events to take place on the same day. This means hair has to be versatile enough to pull double duty.

Pick a style that can be maintained at home, after the dance ends. Sometimes the gel, spritz and heat are good for a few hours like Cinderella’s ball hookup. If your style has to much hold you won’t able to get much longevity out of it after your big night. Ask your stylist to go easy on the hard stuff.

Take plenty of pictures. Some selfies are simply the best, right?!!

After the dance, wrap hair in satin or silk. Bump your ends the next morning if you must, but go easy on the heat.

Some of the most talked about homecoming hairstyles for 2014 include something for all hair lengths and types. Short styles include: twists, twist-outs, pin-ups, long pony tails, and classic ponytails and bangs. It’s your night do it pretty and comfortable.
